Trainee of the month December

For December Sanne is our trainee of the month! Get to know a bit more about Sanne:

My name is Sanne Knoop, I am 21-years old and I live in Uden. I follow the education "Animal and behaviour" at college in Nijmegen. My hobbies are having fun with friends and mountainbiking in the woods.

How did you end up at Dogcentre Holland?

I wanted an internship where you  work with dogs and work outside a lot. I browsed the internet for different positions. I did look at this kind of work specifically. I looked at the website 'stagemarkt' if there was an open position at Dogcentre Holland; there was. After this I sent a mail immediately.

What do you like the most about your work at Dogcentre?

What I like the most is watching and helping with the training of the dogs. You learn  through watching and participating. What I also really love is walking the dogs because you then have a one to one moment with them.

Were you into dogs before you came here?

I love dogs, they are great animals. I also trained my own dog when he was still alive. I am also very interested in the behaviour of dogs. Why does a dog act like this, or that?  So about everything involving dogs is interesting to me.

What goals would you like to reach here in the future?

I hope to learn a lot more still from the staff and dogs aswell! To recognize behaviour better and to learn to see when a dog is ill or fine.
